Covid 19 and Testing Centre Message 14.12.20
We have received update from BCKLWN (14.12.20) this week and they advice that the infection rate figures for West Norfolk have risen slightly from last week, although they are still much lower than when we entered the recent ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown. So, the key message to residents and businesses must continue to be, as we approach the holidays, follow the guidance to keep us all safe and not become complacent due to talk of impending vaccines, no matter how heartening.
One specific request from BCKLWN to share is that the Covid-19 Testing centre at Lynn Sport is now fully operational. However, when people go on the central portal to select a local site for their test if they select ‘drive through’ it does not come up as an option (as it is a ‘walk through’ albeit with plenty of parking adjacent to it) – this has led to some case of local people being steered towards test availability at Peterborough rather than this local site where they could simply park and walk in. A briefing from the BCKLWN will be added to the Wereham Parish Council website this evening along with other information that continues to be added for information.
