Community Defibrillator Awareness Training
The Parish Council arranged for installation of the Community Defibrillator in the telephone box at the Wereham Pond a couple of years ago. At the time awareness training was arranged . Though training is not required to use the equipment, the equipment has a video screen that has step by step instructions, it is good to be aware of its use. The most important thing to remember is that you always need to call 999 in an emergency, and if required the ambulance service will advise the caller to collect the defibrillator if needed. No person should ever take or use the equipment without taking this step first. The ambulance service gives the number to access the equipment in the cabinet . The Parish Council has fridge magnets and key fobs with the number on for residents, available on request from the Parish Clerk werehampc@gmail.com. The Parish Council would like to hear from people who would be interested in attending an awareness session if a further one was arranged for a small nominal fee. Please email the Clerk on werehampc@gmail.com with your details if you do and you will be added to a list of interest.
