BCKLWN – The Local Plan – Public Consultation until 29 April
Borough Council of King’s & West Norfolk: Local Plan Review – Consultation Draft
The Local Plan for the Borough currently consists of the Core Strategy (CS) (adopted in 2011) and the Site Allocations and Development Management Policies Plan (SADMP) (adopted in 2016). These two documents have been reviewed and the new combined draft document sets out a strategy and detail for delivering growth in the Borough, identifying where development should be located and how it should be delivered up to 2036. The Local Plan Review sets out the policies which the borough council proposes to use (if agreed at Examination) to determine planning applications alongside those contained in made Neighbourhood Plans. It also identifies sites through ‘allocations’ for housing, employment and other land uses.
It is important for the plan to meet the needs and aspirations of local communities, businesses and other stakeholders; so we’d like to hear what you think. As this is a draft for consultation, it can change before it is finalised. We welcome your comments and suggestions, as well as any other alternatives that you think we should consider.
The Local Plan Review is published a public consultation until Monday 28th April 5 pm.
